CAUTION!! The Wyoming Board of Dental Examiners has been made aware of a phishing email sent to licensees appearing to be from dentalboard@wyo.gov or one of the Board members. If you inspect these emails, you may notice it was actually sent from another email account that has NO affiliation with the Board of Dental Examiners. If received, you are advised to delete this and/or report it as phishing to your email provider. Do not open any links in these emails.


Going forward, please exercise great caution and verify emails are actually from dentalboard@wyo.gov and not another source. On rare occasions, emails may also come directly from Emily Cronbaugh, Executive Director, Felisha Ojeda, Licensing Specialist or Amanda Best, Compliance Officer. If you're ever in doubt, feel free to call our office or forward your email to us for confirmation. 

The Wyoming Board of Dental Examiners is staffed through the Professional Licensing Boards Office, a division of A&I. 

Board Overview

The Wyoming Legislature created the Board of Dental Examiners in 1905 to protect the welfare of the public by regulating the practice of dentistry. Wyoming Legislature added the regulation of Dental Hygienists to the practice act in 1921.

The Board is legislatively empowered to provide for the licensure and regulations of dentists, dental hygienists, and assistants taking and exposing radiographs or placing pit and fissure sealants practicing in Wyoming.

The Board operates solely based on fees collected from licensees and receives no general fund money.

The ultimate responsibility of the Board is to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Wyoming by ensuring that those individuals licensed to provide dental services in the state are duly qualified.
